Green Lantern comicsHal Jordan is a fighter test pilot of the Air Force. One day, he was mysteriously transported to a crashed spaceship where he met a dying Green Lanterm Abin Sur.

Before Abin Sur died, he offered Jordan the powerful means and opportunity to succeed him. Hal then took possession of the power ring and the power lantern, two of the world’s most powerful but dangerous weapons.

In brightest day, in darkest night no evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evil’s might beware my power. With that oath, Green Lantern recharges his power ring that allows him to do anything.

The ring’s powers channels in a form of green energy which can blast rays like a laser, create a force field that protects its user from any harm. It also allows Green Lantern to fly, grant superhuman strength and powers.

With his new abilities, Hal trains to become a legendary officer. He soon became a prime member of the Justice League and carried out a mission to defend Earth and the universe from both extraterrestrial and domestic threats.

Green Lantern comics is an old superhero comic book series created by Martin Nodell and Bill Finger. It first appeared in All American Comics #16. In July 1941 the first volume of Green Lantern comics was released. Green Lantern graphic novels were soon printed in later years.
